We had rearranged to take the ferry to Ao Nang this morning. I still felt unwell and drained when I woke up but powered on. Lindsey kindly offered to carry my main big rucksack as there was no way I would have had the energy. The girls told me to eat dry toast as that would aid my tonsils to recover. I fell asleep on the boat and woke up once we arrived in Ao Nang. It was a struggle to get off the boat and into the taxi in all honesty. My head was throbbing, my throat felt like I was swallowing daggers and I felt so weak. I'm so lucky and grateful that I wasn't travelling alone and that everyone was so sweet and helpful. We hadn't booked a hostel but after everything on Koh Phi Phi, we were all desperate for a good nights sleep so we checked into a hotel. It was by no means grand, but for £11 a night each it was better than what we had previously had, more like a Holiday Inn type of place. I was so grateful to stay in somewhere where I could have my own bed. We headed out for some lunch. Ao Nang was actually really quite nice. It didn't really have a lot to do in Ao Nang itself but there are lots of little islands that are easy to get to from there. It has one main strip of shops and restaurants along the front but it was all quite expensive. We stopped at a restaurant along the front and I had some soup. It wasn't very nice but I just needed something smooth for my throat. I started to feel really weak and exhausted again so I grabbed some ice cream and headed back to the room whilst the others stayed out to explore a bit. I FaceTimed my mum as I was really missing her. It's horrible being ill and so far away from home! I had a little nap before the girls arrived back. We all chilled for a bit then the girls headed out for dinner with Sam and Lindsey while I tried to sleep again. I must have gone out like a light because I didn't hear them come back.
