I was feeling so much better when I woke. We headed for breakfast at the sweetest little cafe that used decent ingredients and proper tea bags so breakfast was really quite enjoyable. We caught a long boat to Railay Beach at around 10.30 am. We met Sam and Lindsey there as they had stayed on the island over night. The island was pretty small with not a lot on it, even accommodation, but it was absolutely gorgeous! The beach was surrounded by massive rocks which just looked beautiful, with the sun beaming down on them. Masa wasn't feeling 100% today so she stayed on the beach while the rest of us headed to a spot where you can rock climb up a cliff to a view point, and then rock climb down the other side to a lagoon. The rock climb was just ridiculous! I would say I'm a reasonably fit girl so it wasn't hard in that way but it was really scary as we weren't attached to anything, the rocks had clay all over them, it had been raining so the clay was wet and slippery and the climb was ridiculously steep! So many people must have slipped and fell on this climb. In fact, there was a sign at the bottom telling you when not to climb and that you doing this at your own risk. I was pretty terrified on the way up as we didn't bring our walking boots so just to add to the lack of safety, we had to do the whole thing bare foot! Sam helped me get to grips with how to rock climb properly to start with then I just took my sweet time in reaching the top! It was all worth it because at the top there was the most incredible indescribable view of the majority of the island! You could see for miles over the beach, palms trees, rocks, mountains and ocean! Really breathtaking! After, we continued on and slowly climbed down the other side of the cliff towards the lagoon. Going down was definitely harder than climbing up! We got half way down before getting to a sheer drop rock climb that went on for a little way, plateaued off, then another sheet drop to the lagoon. For Sarah and I, we had reached our limit! Most people going down from there had boots on and didn't have massive rucksacks they had to carry which actually affected climbing down quite a bit as it easily got caught on parts of the rocks. I really though if I carried on down the sheer drop, I would for sure slip and die! I was more than satisfied with how far I'd come so I was happy to make my way back. We stopped off at the viewpoint again as it was so incredible, then slowly climbed back down towards the start. The whole thing took us maybe 4 hours so it was pretty intense but very enjoyable and such a buzz when you finished! We headed back to the main part of the beach to meet Masa and have some lunch. There were no restaurants but long boats that had been converted into cafes, and they did some pretty awesome grub! We chilled on the beach for a bit and then it started to pour it down in typical rain season style. It got towards 6 pm which was the last boat back so we ran to catch one and headed off as it was still hammering it down! Once we got back to Ao Nang 10 minutes later, we went into Hagen daaz ice cream shop for a sweet treat. I really went all out and had ice cream and waffles with hot caramel sauce... Delicious! By the time we reached the hotel, it was time to order a taxi to Krabi, our next stop. One came for us that was an open back type of jeep and it had massive speakers in the back where we sat. The speakers lit up in all different colours, it was like a mini dj box! We connected our phones and cracked on some tunes! It was a nice 25 minute drive to Krabi. We were staying in different hostels due to limited availability so mine was first. It was called 'Pak up' and was voted the third best in Asia which I didn't realise until I got there. It was pretty decent though and very social. I unpacked then met the girls at my reception so we could head out for dinner. There wasn't much choice, we found about 5 restaurants within quite a large stretch. We went to a Mexican in the end, it was gorgeous food! Nachos to start then a tex mex burger for mains... Ideal! After, we were all pretty tired so we walked back to the girls hostel and watched the film 'Non Stop' on the communal tv with chocolate and snacks. It was nice to chill after a very busy day. After, the girls walked me back to my hostel then I hit the sack as we only had one day in Krabi the following day so we wanted to make the most of it!
