It was so nice to wake up in a proper bed although I missed Sar! You know your good friends when you've been in each other's pockets 24/7 for 3 weeks and we still love each other's company, or at least I think she does. The wifi was really good at the hostel so I managed to FaceTime Nia! It was so good to speak to her! We spoke for over an hour just gossiping away as we do. Louise and Nia have managed to get a house sorted for the three of us to live together in Cardiff for when I get back, very excited about that! So we got ourselves looking glam as yesterday I looked like an absolute hillbilly, not acceptable in Sydney! We walked back into the centre of Sydney to have another look around. We found a bread shop called the 'Dough Collective' where they have about 30 different types of bread with testers available for all of them. Me and Sarah went round and tried everyone of them and then back around again...lunch sorted! I bought a Viennese roll (brioche and Nutella) for later. We carried on walking round the city, we walked back to the opera house as we wanted some photos in the sun. We walked all the way around it and then into the botanical gardens. We found some bamboo trees where other people had engraved there names into, so naturally we had to get involved. I do like Sydney but feel like I could be back in England, it doesn't have the same Aussy feel as some of the other places. We then went to a coffee shop called 'Gloria Jeans' and had lunch. We walked around the department store David Jones and used the testers to put on a full face of makeup, I felt girly again! Then we walked around the shopping mall Westfield. We saw the 360 bar and were thinking of going up but it was very expensive. We decided we would try go back early evening for a cocktail. We headed back to the hostel, I facetimed Jack and Jo briefly then quickly got dolled up for our night out. Charlotte (a friend from home) arrived at the hostel with a bottle of vodka in hand! We all sat outside and had pre drinks for a while. A few too many hours went passed as we had a lot to catch up on, and we missed the last opportunity to go to the top of the 360 bar tower. Instead we went straight to a club called 'The Ivy'. It was amazing! Very glamours but still quite relaxed at the same time. Something I found weird is that in New South Wales, they don't sale double drinks, or shots after 11pm! Crazy! At about 1.30 am, McDonald's became the main agenda for the rest of the night and after the best mcChicken sandwich meal, we headed back to the hostel!
