Douglas Brown's Travels
I woke to the sound of rain on the roof this morning. After muesli, yogurt, apricots, prunes and dried apricots with a coffee and croissant for breakfast I retired to the front veranda of the accommodation to enjoy my second coffee of the day. Sitting there watching the rain fall and the distant thunder rumble, contemplating my plans for the day. About 11am I decided to share a taxi into the city and go shopping for a sim card for my phone and various other bits of gear. Once in the city I purchased the SIM card and set about strolling the streets looking for an interesting place to have lunch. The rain had eased a little by now and it was very peasant to see the city in its new wet look. I took a few different streets to yesterday and discovered some more statues and interesting architecture. I came across a bronze model of the city. I then visited a large department store named Nama which is very much like our David Jones, complete with the inflated prices. I had decided to catch the bus back to my accommodation and as it was now 2pm, Li decided to look for a coffee and cake.
