Ended up bush camping on the Roper River. Beautiful sunset, and very relaxing watching Craig and John fish (didn't catch any thing!). Then got smashed by giant mozzies, packed up early next morning and headed to Elsey National Park.
Stopped after a few long, very bumpy hours driving along the Savannah Way, at the Roper Bar store. An amazing shop literally in the middle of no where!! It looks like an old run down house, surrounded by 6foot fencing, all the produce, including bread and milk is frozen. Ended up paying $18 for a loaf of bread and 2l of milk!! Funny what I am prepared to pay for those little comforts!! (Craig did make bread at Butterfly Springs-which was so nice).
