Jack's house - or rather the last house that Jack lived in at Bolobo. The house is currently occupied by Michel Mpia, the healthcare "coordinateur" at the hospital, who took time out to show me round this part of the hospital site.

Wonderful to read about a Congolese healthcare "coordinator". What a splendid grounding was laid by eatlier missionaries.

I believe that I lived in this house too between 1981-1983 whilst my parents worked in bolobo

I was at Bolobo with my parents early 1930s. One of my brothers was born in Leo. In the late 1920s. My father was with the BMS. What were you doing there?
John Aldrich
A question for Ursula Tyrell Taylor. Was your mother Winifred Alice Mackenzie who worked at Rothamsted Experimental Station in the 1920s. I am a historian at the University of Southampton interested in that place and time.
Ursula Winifred Tyrrell Taylor
I am the daughter of Winifred Alice Mackenzie of Rothamstead. Please get in touch with me. Thank you
