Denali Park Village to Anchorage, Alaska- 225 miles
60 & Rain
Days 82 - 84
Today we trekked further south to Anchorage. The weather is changing. The temperature dropped to the 60's during the day and the rain started. The roads improved and the rain cleaned our RV a little.Dirt and bugs are a big factor. Not many RV parks allow coach cleaning. We have to use a bucket to clean our windshield at the end of the day.We cleaned our coach at an RV wash once. They are not readily available. The wash costs $60.When it rains we are grateful for the wash it gives us.Anchorage has already had 17 straight days of rain and cold.More rain is forecast.Hopefully we'll get some clear days ahead.
We like Anchorage. The city sits on Cook Inlet and is surrounded by the Chugach Mountains. No matter where you look, the vistas are lovely.Anchorage has a vast amount of green space. There are walking and bike trails everywhere.Seems odd to be where moose and bears roam the city parks. It was beautiful!
