We got up and had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. We had actual bacon which James was very pleased about! We had asked whether we could rent a scooter today but unfortunately we couldn't but hopefully tomorrow so we asked if we could get a lift down to the beach again instead, Angus said that would be fine so we arranged it for midday. He knocked on our door just before midday to check we were still going as there was someone else who also wanted to go to the beach. We said yes and got our bag to go. The other person was a woman called Kelley from America. When we got dropped off in the car we showed her the way to the beach and asked if she wanted to stay with us for today. She was pleased as she said she has been travelling by herself since September so any opportunity to spent time with other people she is glad for. We walked up and down the beach as we didn't get a really good look at it the night before. We stopped at some sun loungers and pretty much just chatted the afternoon away. Kelley has been travelling in Kenya for quite a few months and has been to the north of Thailand so far. It was great to meet someone who has done something similar to us, quit her job and gone travelling. It was getting to 5.30pm ish and we were all hungry so found somewhere to eat. It happened to be the place James and I got cocktails the previous evening so all three of us got cocktails this evening. The food was delicious. There was a light show put on a little later which was a bit of a surprise but very cool. We decided we would get a lift back from Angus just before 8pm so that we wouldn't have to pay for a taxi, and we could get a couple of beers from his restaurant before they shut. We got back at about 8.00pm so his restaurant was only open for another half an hour. He said we could stay in there though as long as we liked. We stayed talking for quite some time. Made friends with a cat who enjoyed some of James' seaweed crisps he had bought. We also had to resort to raiding the mini bar in our room for more beer since the restaurant shut a while ago. We had a great day.
