Early start this morning, we were surprised by the hotel, they made us full breakfast, including eggs. Breakfast wasn't supposed to start for another 45 minutes. We only just had enough time to eat it but it was really nice of them. We walked down to the dive shop, it only took us 10 minutes then sat down with our dive master Greg. He went over a few reminders for us and it was a good job because there were some slight differences in how they did things here. Also he offered us a sea sickness tablet, he said it was really wavy yesterday and a couple of people were sick, so we both took one to be on the safe side. All set we were nervous but excited and we walked for the boat. We got comfy on the boat and were setting up our equipment, the boat set off but seemed to be struggling. We then got told we had to change boats, so all the instructors moved all of the gas tanks and equipment onto the next boat then we got on and set off again. This put us back by about an hour. It didn't seem to take too long before we were at the first dive site, it was one of two very small island at the bottom of Ko Phi Phi Leh (which is most famous for the film The Beach). We got into our gear and were ready to go, everything seemed more relaxed this time as we were doing a fun dive rather than learning. We got in and went down, straight away it looked absolutely amazing! It was like being in someone's fish tank, there was so much to see we were down there for 42 minutes and in that time saw so much but some of the coolest things we saw were; lion fish, pufferfish, box fish and a stingray. When we came back to the boat both James and I were so chuffed, 42 minutes of pure diving. We got back on the boat and had an hours rest with drinks and fruit. Then it was time for the second dive, the boat had moved to another dive site, it was the other small island. We went in again and about 15 minutes in we saw a Blacktip shark then two minutes later we saw laid on the bottom a Leopard shark. We knelt on the sand on the bottom and then laid on the sand watching it, we were about a metre away!! Whilst down there the Blacktip shark came back and circled above us, it was so cool! Of course the rest of the dive was also full of amazing stuff too, including; a group of four lion fish, moray eels and whole walls of coral covered in thousands of fish. Our second dive was 46 minutes long but as soon as we'd finished we were gutted it was over. It goes so fast while you're down there. When we got to the top we were close to the island and there were big waves so it was really difficult to swim but we got so far out then the boat picked us up. It was hard getting back on with the waves so big! Back on the boat I got changed and we sorted our stuff and sat back got the ride back to Ko Phi Phi Don. A diver with a camera had gone down too and followed us for most of our two dives so we asked to look at the pictures, they were amazing. She said she is a diving photographer but she wasn't working today and it was just for fun, we asked whether we could get some pictures, we offered her some money (not much but enough to get a couple of drinks) and she said we could have the whole of today's photos she took. James said he'd get a memory card they could go straight onto, she said she would be happy to do it this afternoon. We were so pleased, we didn't get any photos of our course the last time we were diving because they were extremely expensive, in fact we've paid less for over 100 photos than they were asking for one! Once back we got off the boat and went with Greg back to the shop. We had our lunch which was included and filled in our log books of the dive. James then went back to our hotel room to get changed, drop off our big bag and get the memory card. It didn't take long for James to get back and the girl with the photos wasn't far behind. Once we got the photos we left and just decided to have a walk around this afternoon we walked up and down some of the little roads with shops on and then down one that went straight to a beach. We sat on the beach for a while, we then went for a paddle and walked back to the hotel. We looked at the photographs and have chosen our favourites. We went out for something to eat later on and then got some sleep, we should sleep well tonight!
