The 5.00am alarm wasn't fun but our taxi would be coming at 6.00am and we have to check in for our ferry at 6.30am. We got packed and organised, someone came to check the room, give us our deposit back and collect the key then we got in our taxi. There were quite a few people waiting for the ferries as there were a few going to different places. We checked in and then had to wait, the ferry was late coming so didn't arrive until 7.30am so we'd been there a good hour before this! We got on, got some seats and just chilled until we had to get off at Surat Thani. There were buses waiting to take us on the next part of the journey to the airport. We got to the airport at about midday but our flight wasn't until 4.00pm so we got something to eat and read our books for a while. When we could check in we did and then waited for our flight, the flight was only an hour so it was ok. Once in Bangkok we found our hotel pretty easy because we had booked the one attached to the airport, our flight in the morning is at 7.00am so it made sense. We got checked in, it was a nice room, we chilled for a bit before thinking what to do about some tea later. We wandered the hotel having a look around as it's got a pool and gym etc. It had a couple of restaurants but they were quite expensive, we decided to go back in the airport and see if there was anything more in our price range there. There were a couple of restaurants but still a little expensive, there was a shop which sold pot noodle type things. Loads of people were eating them outside, the shop has boiling water so you can make them up too. We went for these, at 30p each they were definitely more in our price range. We had these and got some other bits and went back to the hotel. We were both knackered still, but there were a few bits and bobs to get done before yet another 5.00am alarm!
