We got up around 7.00pm and got our bags ready for our flight today. We had some breakfast and checked out of the hostel just after 10.00am. We got a taxi to the airport because unfortunately this was the easiest, definitely not the cheapest way to get around in Hervey Bay. The airport was tiny, there were only a couple of check in desks and then one room to enter before the flight leaves. We were a bit early because we had to check out of the hostel anyway, so we read our books waiting. The flight wasn't so bad, I was sat next to an old guy who was originally from Scotland and had been in Australia for 44 years. He said he had been feeling a little sick on the flight so he'd bought a can of beer to fix it, he also laughed while he said it must have been the whiskey from last night. Yes he stunk of booze! We got into Sydney at 12.25pm. Ahmed had said that he and Raheela would pick us up from the airport. We met Ahmed at the luggage carousel, it was nice to see a friendly face. Raheela picked us all up in the car. We stopped off at the shop on the way to their flat to get some drinks in for later. When we got to their flat we sat and talked for quite a while before they started organising our blow up bed for tonight. We were going and we thought no-one would want to do this later. We went out late ish into the city and met some of their friends. We then went to another place well known for gay people apparently, this was made obvious by the topless men behind the bar. We went to one more pub before deciding on getting something to eat, a Mr Crackles pork sandwich, and getting a taxi back to the flat.
