The weather was much better than yesterday so it was a perfect day for going to (Kuang Si) waterfalls. We met Sam and Steph for some breakfast then got a tuk tuk to take us there. Once there we saw the bears again, we had got there for feeding time which meant they were a lot more active than last time. The people we got the tuk tuk with last time had said they'd climbed to the top of the waterfall and went swimming in a private pool which you weren't supposed to be swimming in but it wasn't dangerous. We thought this time we'd go and see where this was, you could walk up either side of the waterfall so we chose the left hand side, it was more like trekking than a walk. We were all sweating buckets because it was so hot today plus we didn't really have any idea where this pool was. The track seemed never ending to the top but when we got there the view was amazing. Although at this point there were huge pools of water and we were in flip flops. Bare foot trekking now back down the other side. Sam and wandered off and managed to find the do not pass sign, we all went through and couldn't believe our eyes, the pool was absolutely incredible with water fall coming into it and it going over the edge. We got in, it was extremely cold but so refreshing after all that walking in the heat. There were some rocks to sit on and you could go right to the edge of the waterfall because there were rocks to hold you far enough away and we could wave to people looking up from the bridge. It was brilliant, we spent quite a while up here. When we got out it was about a 10 minute walk back down to the bridge then we walked back to the pool which had a rope swing. James and Sam were both tempted to give it a go, we sat and watched for a while, it was quite busy. There were a few people giving it a go who are obviously some kind of gymnasts as they were back flipping off it and everything. It quietened down a little and James said he was going for it, Sam followed so Steph and I waited with the cameras to get photos. The climb up to get the rope swing was pretty hard in itself before actually swinging off it. They both did really well! Afterwards James went to jump off a small part of the waterfall, I got a great photo of this. We sat and dried for a little before getting changed and making our way back to the tuk tuk. There was a little discussion with the tuk tuk driver on how much we were paying because he had agreed one price then put it up in our way back but we'd come to a solution and got taken back. We decided to go for a cheap tea again on the buffet road, we were quite early so everything was really fresh. Then it was time for early bed and packing in time for our bus tomorrow morning.
