We got woken in the middle of the night by flashing light in the window, I sat up to have a look and realised it was lightning. This carried on for a while then we heard the thunder and the rain over the sound of our fan in the room. It was early hours of the morning, we eventually got back to sleep and woke at the alarm I had set so we could meet Sam and Steph for breakfast. It was still raining quite hard so we decided that we would send them a message saying we'd do the waterfalls tomorrow instead when it's hopefully not raining and we'll make today our organising day. We went out for something to eat in the afternoon, just up the road from us there is a little street cafe. We had noodle soup which was a huge bowl of noodle soup with small strips of chicken, then a side plate of herbs, lettuce, bean sprouts, chillies and lime and a little tiny bowl of tomato paste to mix in, it was delicious. We met them later on in the day at an Internet cafe and then wandered to Utopia to sit for the evening. We just hung out here, the weather did come out a lot nicer later on which is good. We had a few drinks here until it was time to leave, this time though there was no warnings, the guy just came and said closing then started pulling the mattress from underneath us. So strict about their closing time, apparently if a person is found not to be where they're supposed to be by midnight they get given a fine by the police. Seen as we were being told to leave, we did, we made the same arrangements as today was supposed to be for breakfast then waterfalls and then walked back to our guesthouses.
