We had asked last night if we could have eggs and toast for breakfast this morning so when we got up we went to have it. He had also put out some traditional breakfast items, steamed rice cakes and curry. I like a curry but I do have to draw the line at having it for breakfast, James did try a little of it though. He said it was spicy and he wished he hadn't! When he said to the guy that it was spicy he just laughed at him! After breakfast we slowly got our things together as we were determined this parcel is going to be posted. We were just about ready to go out when the owner knocked on the door to say that his brother had died yesterday and that we would have to check out today instead of tomorrow. We were a little taken aback but he then said he had found us somewhere else and he would take us there for a look now. So we went with him in his car only about 5 minutes up the road we crossed a little bridge and down a track we came to a place. We went straight in and got shown a room, it was right on the lake front, with chairs outside the front door to watch the houseboats go by. We said that this would be fine, so got back in the car and got back to start packing. We were still a little cross he had only told us half an hour ago and could have given us a little more notice than he just did but we gave him the benefit of doubt seen as he'd just lost his brother and would have a lot on his mind. So we packed our stuff and he'd arranged a tuk tuk to take us, when we got there and put our stuff in our room we sat out in the chairs and were secretly chuffed that we'd moved because this place was in a much getter location than the last! It was tempting to just not move for the rest of the day because it was so nice but this parcel was going to go so we walked into the village and eventually got it posted so let's hope it makes it in one piece like the last one managed! When we got back we pretty much just sat and watched the boats go by, James had something to eat for lunch and we read our books outside, this place also had a hammock which James enjoyed. We watched the sunset over the lake and then had some tea which was really nice. When we went to bed we realised we had air con, bit of a bonus seen as we didn't have it at the last place. We looked on their website to see how much it would have cost to stay here and it was just about double what we paid, good job the original hotel paid for this nights stay!
