This morning the two guys started getting the boat ready at 6.00am, we got up and went out on deck at about 7.30am. It was a lovely morning, we saw lots of birds including a Kingfisher, we had breakfast while we were on the move. When it got to about 8.00am we started seeing all the different houseboats making their way back to Alleppey all for 9.00am. Again we were back in the convoy of boats and this time trying to find a parking space and another boat to tie onto. We got back in and it was back off the same way we got on, through another boat. When we got off we got a tuk tuk to take us to Kumarakom. It took quite a while to get there and we had to drive around and over the river. Once over the river we were busy looking out and walking past down the road was a guy with an enormous elephant!! We got to our next place Coconut Creek fairly easily, the outside was beautiful with a lake of their own and a very well kept garden with a hammock and swings. The room was a nice basic room. As we'd got there quite early we chilled with our books in the gorgeous garden for quite a while. They asked if we wanted lunch later so we said yes. Lunch was fish, curry, vegetables, rice and poppadoms served on a banana leaf. We then got given a pudding which was basically chopped cooked spaghetti in sweetened hot milk. We both ate it as we were being watched, that's something Indian people seem to like to do, watch you eat, but neither of us would choose to eat it again! Later in the afternoon we went for a walk as James had looked up to see if there was a post office which there was, so went went to try to post the parcel again. The walk through onto the main road was nice, there are some enormous hotels here by the lake's edge. We found the post office but were told parcels could only be sent before 1.30pm in this office, so annoyingly we would have to come back tomorrow. On our way back we walked on the road down to the lake and sat on a wall right at the edge watching all the houseboats and tourist boats go by. We then went back and chilled at the hotel.
