We got out and about today for a little while, we went to look for a cash machine. We ended up walking up a massive hill, and in this humidity we were both sweating buckets! Once at the top walking along the flat, by this point we had, had "taxi" shouted at us a few times. Everyone wants your business! We found a cash machine in a row of shops, there were quite a few people just hanging around outside the row of shops. We walked a little more, there was lots of building going on. Buildings seemed to be going up, masses of concrete supported by what seemed like nothing more than sticks! We came across a little shop which we went into to get a drink, the lady in the shop spoke very good English with a sort of American accent, we got two cans of diet Pepsi and a litre bottle of water, this came to the equivalent of 66p! All this came in a bag which was made from newspaper, it worked very effectively! The lady in the shop gave us some coins as our change and told us to hold onto them because they will come in useful as no one has coins in Goa.
