I woke up still not feeling perfect today so we took it slowly this morning. Around midday James went to rent a scooter from the guest house we are staying at. Everyone seems to get about on a scooter, there are no pavements and the roads are very narrow so walking can be quite dangerous!
He said he was going to have a ride by himself to get the hang of it then we could go out together on it. When he came back he said he had asked about petrol and the guy had answered with get on and I'll show you. James said the guy was short and thin, exact opposite to James so he said he didn't feel the safest on the back! The petrol station is back in Vagator and apparently they had run out so they had to go to a shop close by where you could buy bottles of orange liquid (petrol). We had wondered what it was as every shop seemed to have it outside.
After he had come back he'd also been out on his own and felt comfortable with it. We decided to try it out and go for some lunch, I wasn't particularly looking forward to it but I'd give it a go.
It wasn't so bad, everyone seems to like to overtake everyone else in Goa and I wasn't keen on some vehicles getting so close but you get used to how they drive. After our lunch we went to a field near the flea market we went to the other day. I had a go in the field, it was strange to get used to, to start with but I got the hang of it, I prefer being on the back though!
The flea market looked really odd, there were all the structures left for the shops but they were empty and then every so often there was a cafe/bar open with people in it.
We came back to the guest house for a while then went out to the beach for an hour or so and watched the sunset. We had a really great day today.
