Happy Diwali!! It's the start of Diwali in India today, apparently a lot of Goa is actually Christian so they don't all celebrate so we weren't sure what exactly would be going on if much at all today. We decided that we would go out for tea later on tonight so we went for a long walk along the beach so that we could get back to the hotel in the afternoon. The beach seems to go on for ages, there are a lot of Russians on their holidays at the moment. We walked all along the beach and back again. Later that night we for ready to go out for tea, while getting ready we could hear fireworks already being set off right outside. As we walked out of the hotel, someone set off fireworks in the middle if the road, no matter what traffic was coming! We heard quite a few fireworks throughout the night. Everywhere seemed to have lots of little tea lights lit in celebration. We went for tea in a place called Dum Biriyani, this was the best meal we have had yet! All the food was cooked in their tandoor, the smells were amazing. We got a good seat too and I was able to watch the guy in the tandoor. We both had a proper lamb kebab! Mmm!
