Brie & Trent's Travels
Ok so we havent seen the bridge in this picture yet but we will tomorrow probably.
Trent and I had a great day in Venice yesterday, but we were ready to get moving on to Florence. From the looks of the number of pages in our guidebooks that cover Florence there is a lot to see.
Last night we went and got some pizza (peperoni and artichoke) my favorite... the peperoni was kinda different but good... it was spicy (mom you wouldve liked it). Trent and I got our own pizzas so we could save some for today for lunch. Unfortunately, while we were waiting for the bus this morning the box flew over and the pizza fell into the dirt. So at the train station I believe I ate the most delicious twix ever.
The trains in Italy are so easy to take... we just walked to the station went to a ticket machine bought the ticket and we were off... plus they are cheap.. it only costed us 17e each to get here.
Last night we drank this Venecia wine that was frizzante (with bubbles) which was delicious.. I had to drink mine out of a water bottle because I broke my glass... oh well.
So I guess there are huge waits for the sights here in Florence so we have to go to get reserved tickets, in order to avoid waiting in a 4hr line.
Our hostel is great... the hostels this trip are considerably better than last time for some reason. I love it. They are clean and helpful...just hot!
Well so far after arriving in Florence Trent and I went for a walk to the central market which has lots of purses and other leather goods that make me wish i didnt have to carry a backpack full of stuff already... we were looking for a guidebook recommendation for lunch called Marios, but when we got there it was closed, so we went to a nearby cafe and Trent got rigatoni w/meat sauce and I got pesto. Yum! Our first pasta on this trip... Im sure there is much more to come. Tonight I think we are just going to cruise around the city, and then tomorrow hit up some of the big sights.
Love you and miss you.
