Did a day trip to Wyndham today, to visit the famous "Five Rivers" lookout. We didn't see it looking like this, unfortunately, it was low tide so the water was not making ribbons across the clay, the sky was not pink and the water looked brown. Still, a big view.
We also visited the Crocodile Farm, where they breed crocs for their skins (sold to the French) and meat (sold to the Chinese). The crocodile man who runs the place almost solo took us around and introduced us to all the crocs while he fed them, and telling us about all the fights they have. He was a real character but the antithesis of Steve Irwin: he was understated, dry and matter-of-fact.
Lunch at the pub, a wander through the museum and a walk on the jetty were about the only other attractions the town offered. The jetty is a floating design, so being low tide it formed a long ramp down across the mud, with just the L shaped piece at the end actually floating. The piles on which the jetty slides up and down are very tall, the end ones towering ten metres or more above our heads.
On the way back to Kununurra, we stopped at a spectacular waterhole called "The Grotto". It sits at the head of a small rocky canyon, surrounded by lush vegetation. Pity it was too late in the day for good photos and not warm enough to enjoy a swim, but still very well worth stopping for.
Tomorrow we are off along Gibb River Road to El Questro, and depending on the road conditions, if we continue right through, we may have no phone service for the next couple of weeks.

Dell The Grotto might have had crocodiles in it so perhaps it was just as well it was too cold for swimming!
