Dell You are descending into negative territory here...I think it is "lower latitudes"
re: Wellington Caves, New South WalesKaren So good to hear you have ended your adventure safely, with unforgettable experiences and precious memories and a wonderful time with your gorgeous family. I'm sure there's plenty more coming to us, and I'm looking forward to a personal recap when we visit you later this year! (didn't see that one coming, did you!)
re: Windsor, New South WalesDell something to look forward to when you get home...a good bed, good showers (& loos) and more variety in the food. However you seem to have had a great time overall.
re: Camooweal, QueenslandGavin Actually, on our Kakadu trip, the best bird place we saw was Fogg Dam, which is on the way from Darwin, but not in Kakadu (which was all great of course).
re: Renner Springs, Northern Territoryelisha thanx for fixing it.. :) the swimming pool looks inviting.. if temps are good.. is that where the bats visit the trees above a certain time of the year?
re: Mataranka, Northern Territoryglenn Sounds like you are having a lovely time Brett... looking forward to all the stories when you are home.
re: Victoria River, Northern TerritoryBrett Only minor damage to the van, should be easy to fix. And yes, freshwater crocs are only dangerous if you badger them or if you accidentally step on one, so people routinely swim near them.
re: Bell Gorge, Western AustraliaBrett The camper has been excellent. It didn’t come through this creek, but it’s done a hundred others (we are on our way home now).
re: El Questro, Western AustraliaBrett Hehe I have the iPhone in HDR mode, with the option to save the non-HDR image as well. Most of the pics I’ve posted were taken on the phone, some of them in HDR mode. But you’re right, what I was talking about was the full fruit cake. Google for “stuck in customs” if you want to see some unbelievably good HDR images.
re: Katherine, Northern TerritoryDell It reminds me of that scene in "Immortal Beloved" about Beethoven's life when he ran away from home and floated in the pond looking up at the stars (to the sound of the 9th symphony). Grand!
re: Bungle Bungle Station, Western Australiaelisha its been a great holidays.. have fun travelling home.. we look forward to seeing your photos!
