The first leg of our journey has come to a close and I want to say a huge thank you to Uncle Allan and Aunty Faye for taking such good care of us. We had a fantastic time in Durban and saw far more than I thought we would and ate more than I thought we could! Let's hope there's a hill or two to climb in Cape Town to work off some of those delicious meals.
Last night we went to a Thai restaurant for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. Rebecca accidentally ate a chilli but thankfully a glass or two of wine was at hand to ease the burning.
This morning we went for a drive to see the "Valley of 1000 Hills" and admired some scenic vistas there. Sadly the haze prevented us from seeing all the huts on the hills and also showed my lack of knowledge of my camera as I desperately tried to twiddle the dials to get the photo I wanted. I guess I better use some of the flying time to read the 348 page manual and brush up on my skillz.
We also went for a coffee with Richard's parents. It was great to meet them and learn more about Richard's family :)
Farewell Durban, hello Cape Town
