Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Jodi, Happy Birthday to you!!! This was the sound that greeted Jodi at breakfast in the morning. Brenden had secretly organised all the staff to have breakfast already cooked for us both when we got up, with a birthday cake and about 15 staff all standing near our table all singing their lungs out. Jodi was pretty embarrased..... Actually, this is all bulls***! Brenden didnt' organise any of this but breakfast was ready for us when we got up which was pretty cool.
After we collected ourselves after the camotion at breakfast time, it was time to set out for another day of island hopping. The weather was perfect, much better then the day before. So we head off in the pedicab back to the fishing village to find our boat and driver for the day. Same boat as the day before so it was loud as fk again. Actually, it wasn't as bad as the day before, we think he went a bit slower because we weren't trying to beat the weather. That or we're both going deaf........ Sorry, what did you say dear?
The entire day was just perfect. We did heaps of snorkelling, exploring beaches and islands and the best 'doing nothing' we've done in ages. The guide from the resort packed us a lunch, which we had on the front of the boat, out in the sun, with our feet dangling into the clear water below. We rocked up at this one place that had a few bamboo huts built into about a metre of water so you could swim up and buy stuff from them. Actually, they swam up to you as you arrived trying to sell you stuff instead. They looked cool none the less.
We got back to the village at about 4, paid our drivers and headed back to the resort and chilled out in the bar for a few hours. We were the only ones there so that was good. Sitting in a bar completely made out of bamboo, that is built over water looking out over rice fields and locals going about their business does have a certain feel about it. Plus the beers are only about 75c as well. Bonus!
Again our meal was supplied for us at dinner time. Steamed Mud Crab - Jodi's favourite. It was delicious! After a full day on the water plus a few beers, we were both stuffed by about 8.30. We both decided to have an early night as we had to make the trek back to Naga tomorrow monring. Plus Jodi hadn't gotten her present yet..............
