Mykonos...what can we say this is one awesome island! After our ferry ride from Ios we arrived into Mykonos in the early evening and with only two nights here we dropped our bags got dressed and jumped on the bus into town to do some exploring.
Once we arrived we strolled along the pretty port where we watched the sunset and took some great photos. We then started exploring the town, walking through all the intertwining streets and doing lots of window shopping along the way. After wandering the streets for a few hours we came across this amazing homemade pasta place were we decided to have dinner, this was best decision as our pasta dishes were the best we've ever eaten even better then Italy - amazing!
After dinner we then did some more exploring and one thing I noticed was how much attention Brett was getting....from men!!! He really is a gay magnet, it was quite funny, he couldn't believe it either, it's definitely a big holiday destination for the gay community.
For our first full day in Mykonos we had a light breakfast on the beach and caught a bus into town to hire a scooter for the day to get us around the whole island. After riding around getting lost for a few hours in the north part of the island we came across this pretty little beach and jumped in the water to cool off as it was so so hot! We then grabbed a late lunch and went for another long ride to find the famous Paradise beach.
Paradise beach was crazy!!! Upon arriving we witnessed a couple 'interluding' on the rocks...there was quite an audience but funnily enough they didn't seem to mind! They then proceeded to get out of the water starkers where an old lady took photos of them both posing, it was hilarious! Between that and the naked old man chasing girls around in the water it was quite a funny afternoon, definitely an eye opener!!
After the hilarious beach show we then hit Tropicana beach club for a drink and some dancing! This was also a crazy place which got pretty loose with an Italian in his yellow donkey g-string and half naked gogo girls, it was heaps of fun and a very entertaining evening!
For our last day in Mykonos after a lazy morning we rode down to the town to drop the scooter off and to see more of the town before leaving. After strolling the windy streets and visiting the old windmills from the 1700's we grabbed some lunch. After lunch we then jumped on a bus back to our hotel for a relaxing afternoon at the beach before an early dinner and a late ferry to Samos for our last night in Greece.
