Day 5: Another chilled out day, relaxed just went for walk up to the local park and then walked up Malvern High St and Glenferrie Road to check out all the boutique shops and coffee shops. One thing is for sure if you are looking for a Wedding Dress you just maybe able to find one on Malvern High Street. (There are 10+ in a kilometre stretch)
Day 6: Absolutely gorgeous day Monday so we decided to hit St Kilda beach. On the way we went to the Melbourne War Memorial, built to honour the fallen Australian Soldiers in WWI and WWII. It had amazing grounds and great views of the city. Was really windy so we just sun bathed on some grass near the beach because the sand was blowing everywhere. Wind meant a good day for kite surfing, and the kite surfers were out in force, definitely something I want to do. Got back to Rachel and Barry's place, then Barry cooked us up a BBQ, had some wine and watched the tennis.
Day 7: We hit Melbourne Museum on Tuesday. Paid extra to see the designing 007 exhibit, but have to say I was disappointed, you were only allowed to take pictures of certain things, it seemed like a lot of copyright bulls***. Said our goodbyes to Rach and Barry, we hope to stay in touch.
A quick note on Melbourne's Tram system, its cheap and a good way to get around the City but 9/10 times they are late but unless you get on in the City Centre you always get a seat. But you also get what Beckie and I have called Crazy tram people. So we have the guy covered in sand you had the widest eyes and he was talking to himself. Then the guy you looked like he had just been beaten up, then the -so drunk she couldn't hold her cigarette properly- Lady. Two guys about to have a fight about I don't know what. Then this creepy guy who was hitting on this girl who was really not interested in him, but he would not give up, when he did he had to sit next to her for like 3 or 4 stops…awkward, but funny for us.
Day 8: Met Robin from the Royal Mail Hotel for a chat and then we went for a drive in Albert Park, and drove on the main straight past the pit lane!! David took us for a beer In St Kilda in the place INXS got together which was cool then on to dinner at Pier for a Burger, was nice. After that we watched the Tennis with a beer back at David's.
Day 9: Drove out to hanging rock and climbed to the top. Then we went on a mini Winery tour to Hanging rock Winery, Mt Gisbourne Winery, and Gisbourne Peak Winery, Had lunch in Woodend, and then I cooked up a BBQ back at David's with a couple of Beers. Had a really good day.
