Today its a drive further north into Oregon to see the Painted Hills. These are very colourful gold and brown clay hills. Next we stop in to visit a friend of Gerry's in a town called Bend. They live in a nice 2 storey house on 5 acres. Both are in the 70's. We stay the night here and enjoy a superb dinner and dessert. Today was another amazing days driving. The scenery never ceases to amaze. Gerry makes sure we take the scenic routes rather than the highways. We pass through so really cool old towns. Will miss sleeping under the towering redwoods, what a place!. After driving up the coast into Oregon, we have to turn back and take another route, as Gerry found out that the way she wanted to go was too dangerous.
