Saturday 8th Left the boat -headed for Old Town. Found our accommodation which was up a funny laneways. Stored our luggage and went exploring. Thursday 6th June Set off early for Mljet - as we were in the open sea - the boat was really rocking and rolling - few empty seats at breakfast. Mljet is a National Park - with salt water lakes and trekking tracks. So off we trekked - walked for about 2 hours around the beautiful lake area. Many butterflies and beautiful flowers. Wednesday 5th June Early start - set off from Vis to Korcula at 6am Korcula is quite a way south of Vis- and descriptions are poetic. Natural and cultural heritage, very big island with many villages, dense forests, beautiful beaches. Legend is it was discovered by Greek hero Antenor escaping from Troy. Tuesday 4th Left Hvar for Blue Cave - on a very small island Boarded a small boat for the cave - apparently found by a Benadictine monk while out fishing at the turn of the century. The entrance was submerged so he must have been crazy to venture inside. A larger entrance was blasted many years ago - allowing boats to enter - though still very low - we had to crouch down in the boat to get through the gap. My claustrophobia surfaced - but coped
