Sunday 1st July Set off from home at 4am - to hopefully catch a flight at 7.30. Yay- volcano has ceased erupting - fog dissipating - all systems go - lift off around 8. Friday night the weather worsened - howling SW winds battered the island. The house shook, trees bent , palm fronds flying , doors and windows rattling.
