Monday 10th June - heading for Sorrento - which is particularly poignant as Bob left us 2 years ago today - and I have some magic moments from the few days we spent in Sorrento in 2008.
Dinner in yet another of the seemingly thousands of restaurants tucked away in laneways. On our way back stumbled on a pancake shop - and we had the most delicious ones I have ever eaten. Gotta stop eating. We didn’t realise our apartment was above an Irish Pub - Sunday night must be a chance for local singers to get together. We were “serenaded” for several hours after dinner by Croatian acapella group - was a tad too much when they sang “ I did it my way” badly!!
This morning dragged our bags down the winding stairs and taxi to airport. Flight to E
Rome - 1 hour, train to Naples - 1 hour, drive to Sorrento - 1 hour.
Tiny hotel - close to main shopping mall and laneways. Lots of shopping to do me thinks
