We drove thru the Bushland to Margaret River, stopping off on some caves in the way.....one cave was Giants cave...i thought the park entry warden looked at us quizzically...." do you know anything about this cave.?"...." no " I said.....
Well I'd best tell you before you decide to go in......" there's no lighting you use a torch, at some point you have to crawl in your knees and climb ladders"......I said " stop there, don't think it's for us" she said, " well I saw you slip on the path so thought that's not a good start as it's slippery there".....so that was a quick visit!
Margaret River is a small neat town I owned for its wineries, brewery's and craft type stores....oh yes and guess what!! Tom was breathalised again as we entered town....
There's a pattern starting here!!......
We had a most delightful heritage place to stay, in fact it was blooming marvelous , nit that pricey and we had a bedroom, a covered out door courtyard plus our own private lounge which was elegantly decorated and huge with a wood burner...which we needed as it was cold at night.....and a kitchenette.
It was nice to eat in fir two nights and eat easy healthy food....
The town is close to the coast which is famous fir its surging championships...we had two huge coastal walks and were mesmerized by the huge rollers and also the sound as the crashed against the rocks......and bonus we spied whales...obviously nit as close as our boat trip but still recognizable as the weaved up and down.....
blue peter badge fir whale spotting!!
The tenth tomorrow and onwards up past Perth heading we hope for warner weather......
