So driving north towards Jurien Bay our next stop over we made a detour to the Pinacles desert......in the Nambung national park....
The weathered limestone Pinnacles rise out of the bright yellow desert and topped with today's blue sky it was quite a picture...
It's rather surreal as there are thousand of these pinnacles as far as you can see......
There was the opportunity to drive along a packed sand track for about threee miles....which we did...the more adventurous could follow walking paths but they were huge circular walks of eight hours.....hmm....not at our age!....
The drive was a bit dodgy as it wove around the rocks and was rather tight at times.....the man did well..I'd ha e probably hit something.....
It was quite unique especially as you could could see the rollers on the bluer than blue ocean in the distance.....

Jo vaughan Hello Intrepids, really enjoying catching up on your travels. You have been to some amazing places and we are really loving your blogs - feel as though we are there with you! We have been looking at places for next summer - thinking of staying on lake as we are taking the caravan with us - I totally fell in love with the mountains. We are planning on coming over to see you - if the petit nid is free we will book to stay for a couple of nights - if not we will still come over for the day. Happy travels, stay safe Jo xxxxx
