Up early for the flight from Boston to Washington DC. Arrived at 1130, Lyft ride into Town and arrived at the Washington Hilton at 1pm. Unpacked and originally planned a quick walk around the Neighbourhood to get the lay of the land. That didn’t happen!! Arlington Military Cemetery got the vote. Very sad to see in one place the graves of 400,000 American Servicemen & Women. The Kennedy Family are also buried here along with the US Tomb of the Unknown Soldie...

Left Boston in the rain and drove all day in it!! Travelled up though Vermont and saw three covered bridges at Townshend, Jamaica Village and Dummerston. Absolutely fantastic to see.Each one very different, hope to see more whilst we are here. Arrived in Manchester Village at the Equinox Resort at 1pm then off into the Village to get the laundry done. Ate at Mulligans in the evening, Bob had Beef Stew and Lesley Sausage and Mash, real comfort food on a wet day. ...

Arrived well and safe in Boston after a long day travelling. Settled into the W Hotel and then up this morning to discover Boston. First things first breakfast at Panera Breads then Got the T down to Government Central and walked to Quincy Market. Fantastic Area and some great food. Here we go three days in Vegas, Grand Canyon, a show on the strip, Bellagio's and a few tables. Really looking forward to 3 great days and our stay at the Vdara. Monday plan to fly over the Grand Canyon, Tuesday "Rat Pack" show on the strip. Wednesday Bellagio and a stroll down the strip Sunday 24th. Been a while but looking forward to catching up with Allen, Roel and their wives. Plan to visit the Book Depository and of course Southfork Up early Thursday 21st for flight to Dallas. Whilst here in the US have discovered Lyft which is a bit like Uber. Used it twice now in New Orleans, great service and cheaper than a taxi.
