Here we go three days in Vegas, Grand Canyon, a show on the strip, Bellagio's and a few tables. Really looking forward to 3 great days and our stay at the Vdara. Monday plan to fly over the Grand Canyon, Tuesday "Rat Pack" show on the strip. Wednesday Bellagio and a stroll down the strip

Sunday 24th. Up early and packed and checked out of the Hilton Lincoln Centre Dallas. Breakfast at Taco Bell, great Breakfast Burrito, then out to DFW for the 1245pm flight to Vegas. Arrived McCarran Airport Las Vegas at 1.40pm and checked in at the Bdara at 2.30pm. Unpacked and then out for a walk along the strip to allow Lesley to see the strip. Quick stop for a drink in Diablos Cantina and then into Walgreens for a few items to cover breakfast in the morning. Dinner in Market Cafe and then an early night, as we are both tired plus the now 9 hour time difference between Spain and Las Vegas has caught up with us.

Monday 25th. Up early as we had an 8am Helicopter tour of the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. Picked up at the Aria and taken to Maverick Helicopters at the end of the strip. 35 minutes flight out over the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. We then landed in the bottom of the Canyon for photos and a Champagne Breakfast. During the flight out we were sat in the back of the helicopter but on the ride back got the front seats. Fantastic Experience. So now what to do for lunch said Lesley? I know lets go to a little chicken wings place I know. So a walk down Las Vegas Avenue and take a few photos. Well would you believe it right there was a "Hooters" we just had to go in as they do such lovely Chicken Wings, that was the only reason we went in!!! Left there a little hot mouthed and caught a Lyft back to the Vdara. Couple of hours by the pool and then up for a shower before we go out for Dinner at the "Lakeside" at the Wynn.

We had a wonderful meal, Lesley had Halibut and Bob had scallops, washed down by a very nice bottle of Perrier Jouet. Lovely ending to a lovely day.

Tuesday 26th. Our niece Laura's Birthday so first job to message her and wish her happy birthday. She is enjoy being in Italy which was good to hear. Then Bob the Dhobi Waller into action, left the room looking like a Choggi laundry. Off out for breakfast at Cabo Wado picture on FB and then a walk south on the strip taking in a few of the hotels and sites.

Walked from the Vdara to Treasure Island and back saw Caesers Palace and The Mirage. Slow walk back, grabbed a couple of sandwiches along the way and then had a quiet afternoon in the hotel. Out at five to go pick up the tickets to see the Rat Pack at Tuscany Suites. Got there and had a few beers in the PUB 365 which has over 365 beers available, 40 off which are on draft. Then into the Capo Rooms for the Rat Pack Concert. Superb great performance with a great repertoire of songs. Lyft back to the hotel then down onto the strip to take some night time photo's and for Lesley a first "Tequila " shot. All in all a great day

Wednesday 27th, nice nothing to rush up for so a lie in, Bob went down to Starbucks and got tea & Coffee at 8am. Then out for breakfast, ate at Greenwich Village Coffee company. Burritos good deal at $6.95 inc a hot drink. Bob was desperate to go on the New York, New York roller coaster so he did. Very scary and nearly lost breakfast. Then a walk along the strip, Krispy Kreme Donuts, another first for Lesley, Subway to get sandwiches for lunch and then back to the hotel. Afternoon by the pool as it may be the last Outdoor pool location. Up to the room at 4 and pack for the 9am flight in the morning.

Great evening to finish our stay in Las Vegas. Ate at "Olives " overlooking the Fountains at the Bellagio. Great dinner, nice bottle of Pinot Noir and then a final Pomegranate Margarita in the Vdara. Thanks Zvegas it's been great
