DAY NINETEEN

We had an early start, as usual. And me and Matt were last up, as usual!!! We met up with Aip again and we all squashed into a mini bus to go to the Green Canyon! En route, Aip was really keen for us to visit some 'home industries'.

But first of all, we went to a market that sold every food you could think of! Whilst we were walking through the fish market, i was slightly upset as we saw dead sharks there and all they had done was cut their fins off and threw there bodies into the bin! wasnt amused. Then to make things worse was as this women was viciously cutting up a sting ray, some of its blood squirted out onto me! I was being such a snob and grabbed some antiseptic wipes to get the blood off! the women laughed at me! again i want amused!

After getting squirted with blood were went off to the first home industry which was a prawn cracker place! it was really cool and we all got to try some of then that they had made! We then went over to a brown sugar making place, in which the lady let us have coconut and brown sugar together. the only word i can describe it is YUM! after eating far too much coconut, we went to a puppet maker who performed some kind of show, which was pretty cool! there were these two little kids that constantly wanted me and Emma to pick them up as apparently if a white person picks you up and cuddles you, its something like they are blessed, i think! which was cute!!

We then ventured on to the Green Canyon! When we got there, there was a few shops next to the carpark so me and Byron went to have a quick look while everyone was getting ready. This group of kids (who looked like they were young but we later found out they were 19-22) came up to me and Byron and asked if we could take a picture, because were white. So we were like ok yeah thats fine, and then all of them screamed and seemed so happy and ran into the photo, was so bizaar! We actually stood there for about 15 mins having photos taken of us, all of us felt famous! We then moved on, and i had this girl run up to me and give me her hat, and when i accepted she screamed and jumped on the spot, so cute!

The green canyon, is basically a valley with green rocks and a rapid thing coming down! We all swam to the top of the rapids which was so hard because of the current, but i got told i was a strong swimmer HAH! Once we were at the top we floated all the way down which was way fun! Then we went to get lunch, in which we saw that group again and had more photos taken of us. one of them got my facebook, but i didnt realise the whole group was going to add me, ive only added two of them because i cant be bothered having all of them on facebook. i know its mean but its effort!

After an eventful day we all had a quick something to eat and headed off to bed as the next day was travelling to our next destination
