DAY TWENTY EIGHT
Had a lovely sleep, and woke up to a view like the picture attached to this blog entry..but better!
I felt a bit groggy in the morning so was undecided wether to go to the Grand Palace Water Park. After i had a winge i manned up and went with them. Once we got there it was basically a gardening centre with lots of water pools and in two of them you could swim! In a few they had the biggest fish iver ever seeen!! was crazy.
There was some stepping stones then went from one side of a pond to the other, and like children we all decided to walk across them all. Im still unsure wether to this day we were allowed to do that as some of the looks we got were very dissaproving, but once we did we had set off a trend and everybody else did it!!
On one of the pools that you could swim in, the water was fresh spring water so it was cold, but as the weather was hot it was fine. i had decided that i couldnt be bothered to swim so i sat down and laughed at the others who were freezing there ass' off! After a while, me and matt went to the place where we ate the night before to get some lunch, where the others met us later on. We then went back and had a three hour bus drive to Ubud!!
Via Ubud, we decided to stop by a bat temple, it was really cool but because i was so tired i, i didnt clock on that there would be so many bats, infact im pretty sure i didnt think there would be any. but anyway, it was all set outside and then there was a random cave. to be honest im not too sure why they worship bats but they did. you wern't allowed to actually go inside the cave but by just looking in it you could see millions and millions of bats. it was pretty gross really.
Heading back to the bus, a random gypsy woman gave me a necklace for free that meant good luck. so took it and walked off, then her daughter hastled me and asked for my top which i was like noway. she then went to even ask for my earrings!!! i just got in the bus and waved through the window because it was getting really annoying that she asked me for everything and didnt even say please!
After getting slightly annoyed from the people, we had a short drive and arrived at Nicks Pension in Ubud wooo hooo! The hotel was pretty cool and had lovely ancient features such as the doors were carved with ancient paintings which looked beautiful! Sally reccomended a local spa near the hotel to go and visit, so me and Emma decided that we should go. At Sara spa i got a hair cream done with Jinsing and then a manicure where i had traditional balinese flowers painted on my fingers.
The group then all met at a restaurant where we all had our final meal with Byron who was leaving the tour a day early for his work. After a sad goodbye, we all went home and slept in our lovelyyyyyyy rooms
Love to all
