Nov 13/16 Unbelievable day! We got to go snorkeling twice and it was incredible. There were tons of colourful fish everywhere, and all manner of marine life to gawk at. Although the water was not exactly warm, I was usually amongst that last to get out. There is something so zen-like just being in the water, hearing only breathing through the snorkel and the sounds of parrot fish eating coral. Wow, finally made it to the Galapagos Islands! After a fairly smooth flight I arrived in Baltra and eventually made it onto the boat, the Treasure of the Galapagos. Nice digs! We checked out the Charles Darwin Research Station and then wandered back through town and back on the boat. Today was mostly about getting familiar with all things boat related and meeting the other passengers. So far so good. Tomorrow starts with a few snorkeling sessions, can't wait! ...
