SO I've not written for a fair while - have been sooooo busy!! Went on a day trip with the volunteers to the Gomantong caves - was an experience! We had a short walk down a board walk to this cave - with lots of ropes hanging from the roof. It was so high, and there were birds and bats swooping round the ceiling. I spent three days last week staying in a lodge on the Kinabatangan River, and absolutely loved it! saw lots of wildlife, loads of proboscis Monkeys ( which you only get in Borneo) and they're really cool - the males make this weird honking noise, and have huge noses and pot bellies, and look weirdly human! and they can leap huge distances - we just sat and watched them for hours! Well, I've been in Borneo just over a week now, and am having a fantastic time! I've been so busy I've not been able to blog, and even this is gonna have to be a quicky, as I'm off on a river cruise down the Kinabatangan River to see hopefully lots of wildlife, so very excited! So, I'm in Borneo! Arrived here on Saturday, but have had a spell of no internet access, so haevn't written sooner! Spent all day travelling on Saturday - I felw from Langkawi to KL and then on to Sandakan.
