Left Tok, AL this morning for Haines Junction, Yukon...300 miles. Crossed through Canadian Border and then about 100 miles of severe road construction. Added almost 2 hours to our trip. Mountain ranges were covered with a haze entire trip. Gave them an erie and mysterious kind of look. Tomorrow we are back on Al/Can Hwy for about 400+ miles before heading south toward our evening stop in Dease Lake, BC. Total miles after Day 16 is 5,272!

Except for occasional rain a great ride today. Meeting friends along the road while enjoying majestic scenery. Had the best breakfast of the trip about 70 miles west of Watson Lake, in the Rancheria Valley at the Rancheria Lodge and Restaurant. Trust us, the name is much fancier than the establishment...but the food was outstanding and the people friendly. Saw one black bear today along the roadway, probably the closest one to us yet...and he was licking his chop...
