Another 3 day tour and again we had a good group and guide. Kangaroo Island is renowned for it's wildlife and we saw plenty of it.....Kangaroos = check. Cockatoos and wedge-tailed eagles = check. Echidnas = check. Possums, penguins, pelicans = check. Dolphins, seals, fur seals = check. We even saw (and were s*** scared) by 2 huntsman spiders on our first night of camping - I imagined waking up the next morning with one on my face! Thankfully that didn't happen, but I didn't sleep that well that night!!!!We also got to do some MORE wine tasting as well as eat honey ice cream. Yum yum! However, I think the highlight was probably the sand boarding - I wasn't that great at it to be honest (and it's bloody knackering having to climb back up the sand dunes), hence the reason I decided to become the unoffical Group Photographer! The low-light was when Ali stepped on (and killed) a little birdy that was hanging around our camp on the 2nd night/3rd day! Admittedly it was injured, but it seemed to doing quite well out of us passing tourists giving it food, until Ali that is! Still, karma got it's own back by making him hurt his knee (and ankle) while sandboarding! That'll learn him!
