Just an overnight stop here, mainly so that we could get the chance to walk up nearby Mt Maunganui.Oh and we made friends with the hostel Cockatiel (makes a change from having a cat I suppose)!

Not much to see here either (except for several statues of Captain Cook - one of which bears no resemblence to the Great Man whatsoever...he's not even wearing the correct uniform apparently)!Is meant to be one of NZ's sunniest towns....it absolutely pissed it down pretty much the whole time we were here!!Oh well - I'm sure it's lovely here in summer.

Famous for it's Art Deco buildings (the result of a devastating earthquake in 1931), Napier is another plesant coastal town....with er, not much to see (although there are plenty of wineries to see nearby, we simply can't be arsed)!

Really feels like we're on the home straight now - not long left in NZ! :o(As we pretty much saw everything here the first time round, there wasn't much for us to do except chill out for a bit which was nice! No more long walks or anything silly like that!We did manage to see the new Indiana Jones film at The Embassy theatre - where Lord of the Rings premiered. A lovely (and huge, single screen) cinema - a worthy place to see the return of a movie legend!!!

NZ's most liveable city, according to our Lonely Planet.Well, our first impressions weren't that good - Saturday night and pubs were empty!
