Ben and Marie's American Road Trip
Today we woke to a a nice warm day in the tent, after what was a very cold night, we got ready and cooked some breakfast, beans, scrambled egg and toast, which was a good start to the day, even made a green tea each. Then we drove 2 hours to Volo, a place in which I don't think I have ever wanted so many things so badly. The cars on show were insane, Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelles, even the General Lee. They had Elvis' Cadillac, a Disney exhibit and countless neon signs, the place was filled with absolute gems. Marie took a shine to Elvis' car but I'd much rather the Charger they had for sale. A really good experience, especially considering the sheer amount of cars they had, I could've spent a week there and not got bored. We even had some old school Hershey's and M and Ms from an old style vending machine. I'd love to visit the place again some day. After that, we headed to another KOA campground just outside of Chicago after a busy, toll-filled drive. But we got here and are camped in the farthest corner away from the toilets and changing rooms, fantastic.
