Today we went into Florence City. We walked with a guide for 3 hrs looking at the sights. There were lots of old buildings and churches with lots if artwork. We also saw lots of statues. It was tiring. We did some shopping. Gabe got a jacket from the Ferrari store and he was very excited. Mum got some nice clothes and some leather gloves. There were a lot of leather shops. After we got home and had a snack we went to a lookout called "Piazella Michaelangelo"....

We went to the St Marks Basilica this morning. It is a huge church with lots and lots of gold everywhere. All of the ceilings are mosaics in gold. We then left Venice. We caught a water taxi to the train station then we caught a train to Florence. The train was really fast (up to 300km/hr) and went through some really long tunnels. We started the day off by going up a big tower called the St Marks Campinile that overlooks the city. We caught a lift to the top which is about 100 metres up. We had a great view up there. We then went to the Peggy Guggenheim Art Musuem and saw lots if paintings and sculptures by famous artists. We also saw a man using drinking glasses to play music. He was really good. My legs are tired now. We did a lot of walking today.
