After a great sleep, up and out to explore the sights of Venice, wandered through the maze of streets, arrived at a Basilica for a visit. Amazing big buildings with elaborate art and decor.

Managed to make our way by walking back to the train station, where we brought a tour ticket of the 3 islands, Murano, Burano and Torcello. Lovely 5.5 hours visiting the 3 islands. We watched a glass blowing demonstration where the artisan made a glass horse in 85 seconds, pretty amazing, and then off to have a sales pitch on some specials. And yes we brought some, and green of course.

Onto Burano with the coloured house and the equisite handmade lace. We stopped for a beer and watched the people traffic, back to the boat and onto Torcello, to see the Byzantine churches—the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and the Church of Santa Fosca.

Back on the boat for a cruise to our starting point. Seeing all the big cruise ships, and passing the Doges Palace and St Marks square amongst other sights.
