Lovely day in Siena today, all by public transport, the difficulty being that its a reduced timetable. Started with the bus to the train station being late, it finally arrived in time to get the train on time. Arrive Siena, missed the way th crowd went and run around like crazy people trying to find the bus, finally have a ticket after about a 15 minute wait and a 5 minute bus ride we arrive close to the centre.

We have a map and find all the main sights, walk up the tower and through the duomo. Lunch in the Piazza del Campo followed by further exploring the streets. With the upcoming Palio horse raise on the 16th August the drimmers and flag waivers were practising, was very loud and interesting to watch the flag handling.

With map in hand we walk back to the train station, with the city centre being on top of the hill, we get to the 6 escalators down to the station.
