Started the day seeing 'David' and then headed to the San Marco museum, added in a couple of science and archeology museums then back into the main square. 'David' was very mpressive and worth getting up early, with the Firenze card we were able to skip the line and get straight in. Back in the piazza duomo we decided it was worth the $$ to take a guided tour or the Duomo. Entering the Basilica it definitely was not as good as the outside, but still very impress...

Day planned for shopping, followed the tips of the airbnb hosts, not so good, so back into the market, 2 jackets and 3 bags later, we felt it was successful. Not many photos today. Happy with our purchases and art and culture. After dinner in we had a bottle of prosecco and cigar. While hanging out our first floor apartment window smoking vigars the airbnb hosts walk by and invite us down to join them for icecream. Lovely way to end the day.

Up and out early to get visiting churches and museums. Managed the local bus into town and first up is to get the Firenze card for access to 72 sites over 72 hours for 72 euros. Santa Maria Novella is the first church, an amazing start. then off to find the next one and walk into the main square and find the Santa Maria de Fiore, with queues of 2 hours to enter the church we decide on the Baptistry di San Giovanni and the museum Santa Maria de Fiore. Packed up and off to Florence. Navigated the streets of Venice and found the bridge to get to the train station. Organised an earlier train and arrived to accommodation around 3. Lovely train journey through the Brenner Pass in Austria. After settling in got a few supplies from the supermarket and dined in. Planning a big day of Museums the following day
