Into town to get the train to Lucca. Lucca is a city on the Serchio river in Italy's Tuscany region. It's renowned for the well-preserved Renaissance walls encircling its historic city center and its cobblestone streets. Broad, tree-lined pathways along the tops of these massive 16th- and 17th-century ramparts where we walked along. We wandered within the walls of the city seeing more churches and climbing up the tower for birds eye view.
Lovely lunch next to the San Michele in Foro church. The town was lovely and quiet compared to the streets of Florence.
After lunch and wandering along the wall we caught the train to Pisa. Back into the crowds to see the sights. Buying our entry ticket we came across the first grumpy Italian who didnt understand what we wanted and then mouthed off in Italian as if we had changed our mind. Anyway we got the ticket we wanted and continued on.
Couple of hours seeing the sights then back into town to get the train home.
