AoNang, Krabi A very early start for the next leg of our journey, up at 6am to catch the first ferry from Koh Samui to Don Sak. 2 hours later we hit the mainland, then followed by a 2 hour wait and a 3 hour bus journey to Krabi town. We arrived on Koh Samui island on the 4th July after a really really long journey! We had a 9 hour wait at Hualaphong station at Bangkok, followed by a 13hour train to Surat Thani. If that wasn't enough, we then had a half hour coach journey to the port and 2 and a half hours on a ferry to the island! So you can imagine we were very pleased to get here! 10th July 2009 - Beckie turns 20!! Our day started very early, waking up at half 6 to open birthday cards and catching our bus at 7am. First Few Days..... After a very long and bumpy flight we arrived safely in Bangkok yesterday. Was very much looking forward to getting some fresh air as we approached the airport exit only to be hit by such a muggy heat it was like a sauna! First impressions of Bangkok, just like London!
