Day 10:

Time to explore Florence. Caesar has given us a map and circled all the laces to visit. We walked out on the street and found a gorgeous boutique and that was it ... Time for shopping! Bought a beautiful pair of sandals from the boutique. Then wandered thru the markets and found a nice Italian handbag. Saw some churches along the way.

It was sp hot - about 40 degrees do we found a little cafe and stopped for gelati. The waiter says to me please stay in Florence. Shame he was too old for me!

Walked they more little shops and over ponte vecchio bridge. The shops are all jewellery stores dripping on gold, so much jewellery it was amazing. More gelati. This time lemon sorbet. Walked to the palace.

More shopping, a dress and cardi from a shop just near the bridge. Everything €10 each.

Walked bank to the bridge and had lunch at a cafe. Pizza and limoncello. Yum!

Feeling very hot and tired now. Mums not doing well today so we head back to the hotel. She has a funny turn line shock, and all shiver and cold. Gave her rescue remedy and that seems to help.

Got some bread, prosciutto and cheese for a simple dinner.
