today was the day of our Great Barrier Reef trip. yet another early start saw us get up n get there by 7.45!!! (this travellin isnt all fun n games lol) we boarded our small boat n went through the safety procedures. the weather was fantastic on the reef, everything was so clear! after an thoroughly enjoyable journey we arrived at the reef. beki had opted to do a introductory dive at an extra cost (still very cheap) whilst steve stuck to good ole snorkling. we saw an abudance of fish and various other wildlife it was absolutely fantastic oh and we saw a reef shark which was cool. whilst diving bek saw a nemo fish and a sea cucumber... then it was lunch time, the food was awesome rice salad potatoes variuos meats, so we lapped it up. our second stint in the sea was next, we both went together and explored more of the reef. time was soon up unfortunately so we had to get back on the boat, time certainly flies.. during the return jounrey to Cairns we had wine and fruit, cheese and biscuits that were all so yummy. an american lady (who was well arrogant, we are meeting more and more americans like this, but you cant generalise lol) threw our suncream in the sea!! accidently.. after a snooze and some more sunbathing we arrived back at gloomy Cairns luckily it wasnt raining (yes miracles do happen) we planning to go to the weekend night markets after our upteenth free meal an aweosme day!!
