Day 9
At 9:00 the shuttle bus departed. And after a ride on the metro we were at the colosseum but in the line we saw that no liquid was allowed into the colosseum so 2 litres of water later... we were in. The inside is just as impressive as the outside. Less than an hour later we started walking towards the Trevi Fountains: it was not pleasant, it was hot and I was tired, at that point I could of easily gone back to sleep. After walking for ages we stopped for brunch - bresaola sandwich for the win and the best ice cream in Rome (according to trip advisor). We carried on filled the water bottles at the Trevi Fountains after making a wish. Then another ice cream, the shop had 150 different flavours. Then into the Pantheon which surprisingly was free of charge to go in. It was phenomenal inside. We then WALKED to the Vatican City. Had a cup of tea with Popey, sent granny a post card and went to angry pig for a drink and a pork sandwich. We then sat on the corner and had a drink after the metro ride. I made an executive decision to go to the same restaurant where I had fettuccine with a amatrica sauce. I gave in to me not liking tiramisu and had one. Delicious. After the shuttle bus back we yet again soaked up the free drinks. Then we got our heads down for some sleep.
